Practising mindfulness

We all lead busy lives, often trying to juggle work and family commitments on a daily basis. This can be stressful and often leads us to be present in one role but unable to psychologically detach from thoughts of what we need to do in our other roles. Allowing ourselves time to practice mindfulness (a form of meditation) on a regular basis, is one way to look after ourselves, refocus and get back in tune with the present. Get started today, by participating in a pre-recorded internal Mindfulness practice session with a bonus neck stretching session.

Draft Multicultural Plan

We have heard from our workforce a desire and need to do more to partner with and support culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities in NSW. In response, a Multicultural Working Group was established in 2021, consisting of Cancer Council NSW staff members from every division within the organisation. They were tasked with the development of a dedicated Multicultural Plan for Cancer Council NSW.

This draft Multicultural Plan outlines our commitment to improving cancer outcomes for people from CALD communities.

Engagement Survey 2023

Cancer Council NSW conducts Engagement Surveys every 2 years to give employees and volunteers the opportunity to anonymously express their views about how the organisation is doing, your experience and how we can improve. Check out the list of frequently asked questions relating to our Employee and Volunteer Engagement Surveys.
